Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) to determine the effect of a short interval distance training system on high school runners, (2) to determine the effect of an over distance interval training system on high school runners, (3) to determine if both methods of interval training were more effective in increasing performance on the post-test, and (4) to contribute some reliable information to distance coaches which they can use to develop training programs.
