Abstract:
Evidence presented in the study Effectiveness of Counseling: A Study in One Correctional Setting, indicates that revocation of offenders is independent of counseling in this particular setting. Although the results were inconclusive, counseling continues to be assigned with the perceived outcome to be positive. Other variables may affect the outcome of the counseling process which ultimately could affect the revocation rate. This study can be used as a foundation for future studies for counseling and service providers as to what is the most efficient and effective.
