dc.description.abstract Exposure of Ictalurus melas and 1. natalis, in a laboratory procedure, to strigeid cercariae indicated I. melas more susceptible to encystment. An experimental technique, using agar plates with skin extracts incorporated, provided statistical analysis to substantiate this and indicated a biochemical mechanism being r esponsible. en_US
